I am a gay Mennonite. My family background is Mennonite but I grew up evangelical and my faith story is both a journeying back to Mennonitism as well as out as a gay Christian. I have been living in intentional Christian community for the past 2.5 years and have been engaging with both my community and my church about becoming open and affirming communities. In past lives I grew up on a farm and attended an evangelical church with my family, I attended a fundamentalist Bible College, went through ex-gay therapy and was part of an international church plant in Madrid, Spain.

Benjamin Anderson recorded his story in Chicago, Ill. on June 25, 2013. His full story will be online soon. Thanks to Inerfaith Youth Core for providing the interview space.
