I was raised Catholic and was involved in campus ministry while in college - even to the extent of being president of the Catholic Student Association. After college, a close friend died and I began to question a lot of things. A few months later, I made the decision to come out. I never really knew how to describe my beliefs and then I took a job at a tiny Quaker college in Richmond, Indiana and everything started falling into place. I definitely consider myself spiritual but certainly not religious.
